Hello all...you may be wondering where Allan and I have gone, and why we haven't been posting this summer. We decided (telepathically) that TheInterregnum came to a nice stopping place at the end of the spring. Also, I got caught up in graduation and preparation for grad school (I'm an admitted school-junkie), and my beloved-yet-ancient iBook just did not seem up to the task of making any videos (my access to the Northwestern library, my previous editing lab, was revoked upon graduation. sigh.)

But, DO NOT FEAR! TheInterregnum will rise from the ashes of its former self to be reborn this year as: THEINTERREGNUM+

And just what, exactly, is THEINTERREGNUM+, you ask.

Well, once I have a computer that is up to snuff (just waiting til those new Macbooks come out in September), I will begin a complete design overhaul on the site. We are going Web 3.0, baby (actually, probably just Web 2.0...the site as we know it is being held together by virtual paper clips and chewing gum). With THEINTERREGNUM+ you can expect:

• More contributors...Allan and I will still be the core members and moderators, of course. But we know so many fabulous people with such interesting things to say, we thought it might be nice to let them up on our soapbox.
• OMNIMEDIA...Like Martha Stewart before me, I want to have a hand in every pie. (SARAH PIE-HANDS, SWEETIE!) You can expect our usual cheeky video posts, but there will be a section for written essays, photos, audio, you name it. The internet is full of things and I can't help but make use of them all.
• A spiffy new design...though the Mackintosh look suited our original purpose fantastically, I want to step things up for THEINTERREGNUM+. Still maintaining my attitude of blatant anachronism in the face of an exponentially expanding future, you can expect it to be retro-inspired. Actually, if anyone has any suggestions, feel free to post them here, and they will definitely be taken into consideration.
• Podcasting. We originally wanted to do this with TheInterregnum, but it never really panned out. In the future, we will make ourselves emminently available.
• General super-duper-awesomeness.

So, keep your eyes peeled, friends. THEINTERREGNUM+ can be expected for CHRISTMAS 2008 (I have a grueling semester at NYU ahead of me, and my priorities lie there...building the new site will be a procrastination facilitator only).
